TERRY Young is excited to be in the Mood Swings. She loves music and it has been a part of her life since she was a little girl. She started out with clarinet, bassoon, and drum major. She taught herself the guitar about age 10 and has loved it ever since. She played mandolin in a bluegrass group, played harp for a bit, sang in a duo with guitars, but loved playing guitar in the Mood Swings! Terry is the owner of Total Body Healing and is taking up weaving. |
KATHRYN Burtenshaw was raised in Logan. She married Mark Burtenshaw and they live in North Logan. Her sixteen grandchildren are a sweet joy to her. She serves as a mediator for the juvenile court and on the Logan Tabernacle Committee. Kathryn fills her days with several interests and hobbies including exploring trails with the Likin’ Hikin’ ladies and participating in three book clubs. She plays the violin with the New Horizon orchestra, sings with the American Festival Chorus and teaches strings and voice. She has taught piano for thirty-seven years. She contributes keyboard and vocals to the Mood Swings Band. |

KATHI Bischoff is a self-proclaimed "music appreciator." When she saw how much fun twin sister Karen Campbell was having with all her percussion toys, she taught herself the bass guitar. "All I knew is that it was orange," she confesses. Together they played in the "Hot Flashes Band" and now have "re-grouped" into "The Mood Swings Band." Kathi is happiest being outside and claims to be "solar powered." Originally from Logan, Utah, she now lives in SLC with husband Jon. They hope to retire in Cache Valley in the near future. She is living proof that you are never too old to try something new. --> |
KAREN Campbell marches to the beat of a different drum- usually the one she is pounding on. Her experience with music began with the cello. In the more mature years she played percussion with the “Hot Flashes” band and currently with the bluegrass band, “Down Yonder” as well as “Mood Swings”. She enjoys any activity that results in rolling, sliding, flying, bouncing or messing up her hair and loves to consume an entire family sized bag of Cheetos by herself. She and her husband (Sound Man) Wayne raised 5 children in Providence and now enjoy 19 grands. She has taught swimming at her home for the past 3 decades. |

WAYNE is also the 10th of 11 children, raised in Logan and Juniper, Idaho on the family dry farm. He retired from Campbell Scientific after 38 years and now tries to sneak out to his farm whenever possible. He plays the roll of “Sound Man” for the ladies. No one can coil a cable quite like Wayne. |
